Vidtek Associates, Inc

Vidtek Associates was founded in 1989 to support the San Francisco Bay Area high-tech companies in the field of industrial video imaging, principally providing security systems to government and public and private corporate clients. Vidtek Associates began in the industrial video service field and later expanded to system design and installation. Vidtek can include the Chevron Corporation and UCSF among its first customers.

In addition to its headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, Vidtek Associates maintains satellite offices in Sacramento, CA and Sparks, NV (adjacent to Reno), and a network of 20 system integrator business partners that manage installations throughout the United States.

COMPANY HISTORY

1989

Vidtek Associates was founded in 1989 to support the Bay Area high-tech companies in the field of industrial video imaging, principally providing security systems to government and public and private corporate clients.
1990

In 1990, Sony Corporation authorized Vidtek to support its line of CCTV products for the West Coast. This go-ahead put Vidtek in direct contact to support major security companies in the area.
1993

In 1993 Sony Image Sensing Division additionally authorized Vidtek as the sole service center in the United States to support their product line.
1996

In 1996, Vidtek expanded its line of services to system design and installation of CCTV and card access control systems. Clients include BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), VA Hospitals (Northern California), and Intel Corporation.
2003

In 2003, Vidtek became the Authorized Worldwide Service Center for Polycom’s Global customer base.
2004

In July of 2004, Vidtek became the Authorized Nationwide Service Center for JVC Service & Engineering Company of America.
2009

In August of 2009, Vidtek introduced its Medical and Industrial Imaging Division.
2010

In 2010, Vidtek starts a new Research and Development center in Santa Clara, CA. With its headquarters and R&D located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Vidtek stays at the forefront of the newest technology.
2012

In October of 2012, Vidtek becomes the depot authorized service provider for Panasonic’s medical products.
2017

In 2017, Vidtek becomes the authorized system designer, integrator, and installer for Sony Imaging products.
